Dr. Knight

Dr. Knight graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1974 with a degree in Applied Biology.  He then did graduate work at the University of Florida in Wildlife Ecology.  He graduated from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington with a ND (Naturopathic Doctorate) degree, and is practicing in Torrance, California.

His Bachelor's Alma Mater, Georgia Institute of Technology, is a leader in bio-integration.  His Doctoral Alma Mater, Bastyr University, is an accredited four-year naturopathic medical school that leads the nation in alternative medicine research.  During his time in Seattle, he also studied both Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic Medicine.  Dr. Knight also pursued extra training in cancer co-therapy and environmental medicine, both special interests of his.

Doctor Knight founded the Natural Health Partners Clinic because of his belief in the power of working together in a partnership for health.  He rejects the prevalent philosophy that he encountered, both here and abroad, that invests doctors with the power to dictate to, or to scare individuals.  Rather he believes that the sharing of information is the key to empowering patients.  Dr. Knight envisions a true partnership with not only the patient, but with other professionals.  This includes both his allopathic brothers, such as cooperating oncologists, endocronologists, etc., and other supporting health professionals, such as acupuncturists, yoga teachers, lymph-message therapists, etc.

Over the years, Dr. Knight has done volunteer work overseas at a number of clinics, as well as working here in the states for various groups.

Including:

**  The Clinic Bairo Pite in Dili, East Timor, working with malaria and tuberculosis patients.

**  The Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta, India, working with the homeless.

**  Wat Huay Pong at Maekachan, Thailand working with HIV, cancer, diabetic, and addiction patients.  If interested, the links here are excerpts from a book Dr. Knight wrote for the clinic in Thailand called, "The Herbal Medicine of Wat Huay Pong".

**  As a trained "Master Environmentalist" doing Home Environmental Assessments for the American Lung Association.
